Caffeinate for a Cause 2026: Help Us Raise Money for Turtle Bay
What is Caffeinate for a Cause in Redding, CA?It's Turtle Bay Exploration Park's annual fundraiser with Dutch Bros. On Thursday, September 24, 2026, local teams serve as Honorary Baristas in Redding, Anderson, and Palo Cedro to raise money for the park.
This Thursday I'm trading house keys for coffee cups. My friend Dustyn Kellar of Curated by Kellar Design and I signed up as an Honorary Barista team, and we'll be working the Palo Cedro Dutch Bros from 2 to 4 PM.
The two hours at the window are the fun part. The fundraising is the part that matters, and that's where I could use your help.
Why Turtle Bay
If you've raised kids in Shasta County, or were one yourself, you probably have a Turtle Bay memory. Field trips, the animal shows, a walk across the Sundial Bridge that turned into a whole afternoon. Donations support 300 acres of exploration, learning, and play right in the middle of Redding.
This year's goal is $25,000. In the 13 previous years of Caffeinate for a Cause, Honorary Baristas have raised more than $337,000 for Turtle Bay exhibitions, education programs, and animals. All of it came from local people pitching in.
You don't have to buy a coffee or even be in town. What really moves the needle is a direct online gift, in any amount.

We landed on a moody cabin tucked into the pines. Somewhere to wander outside on the nice days and curl up inside on the cool, rainy ones.

Can I donate if I can't make it to Dutch Bros?
Yes. Turtle Bay accepts online donations for the event. Note the Honorary Barista team you're supporting so the gift is credited to them.
